New Video Campaign Highlights Election Irregularities and Voter Suppression

Today, EMMY-winning documentary film producer Dorothy Fadiman announces the launch of ELECTIONS at RISK, a constellation of 14 short video clips from STEALING AMERICA: Vote by Vote (2008) winner of The Choice Award from Broadcast Film Critics Association.

This project documents threats to our voting rights by tracing significant irregularities in recent elections. First person stories attest to massive disenfranchisement of low income and minority voters. A social media campaign, along with broadcasts of these documentary clips, will raise awareness about the escalating challenges to holding free and fair elections.

At the heart of this campaign is a new short film:
An Election Night Saga
(10 min.) which documents in detail the impossible discrepancy of "official vote tallies" with nationwide exit poll figures during the final hours of the 2004 Presidential Election.

“As the November 2012 Election approaches, it’s important to remind voters from all parties that democracy is fragile and that we need to protect voting rights for all Americans,” says filmmaker Dorothy Fadiman. “The ELECTIONS at RISK campaign is a wake-up call to prevent, question and investigate voting irregularities.”
