The Do It Yourself or “DIY” movement is nothing new to Amateur Radio. Hams were the original Makers and Hackers, using new and scavenged parts to create transmitters and receivers capable to communicating all over the earth – and beyond. This 8.5 minute video shows some of the modern technologies that ham radio people are developing on their own, just for the fun of it. To learn more about modern Amateur Radio, go to www.WeDoThat-Radio.org.
Filmed at Makers Faires, group meetings, ham radio conventions and at Dayton, the world’s largest hamfest, the video is 720 and 16:9.
