The Night Shift is a “radio show on television”. Inspired by a local producer in Wakefield, MA who was producing a Big Band Era Radio Show on our access channel, friends Adam Dusenberry and Shawn Downs decided to try this format out as well. Our tastes in music and indeed in music libraries differed as to offer an interesting mix of music.
The show went on the air in 2000 and has seen many upgrades and format changes since then. The current show is 1 hour in length. The current format grew from the idea of a “pirate” radio station (WTNS) that takes over the airwaves of the fictional CIN Tv (Corporate Interest Network) for one hour. We play music from local artists (and are always looking for more) and even include the occasional special guest or pre-taped segment. We like to have fun with the show so funny antics and jokes are almost always a given, especially where Shawn is concerned. We hope you will enjoy it and bring us to your community.
We produce 4-5 episodes per year and have a number of back episodes.
