Notes to Stations About This Show:
Victoriana Lady Lisa:
The Passion Projects LLC presents author/historian Lisa Griffiths, aka - Victoriana Lady Lisa, and her abiding devotion to the 19th century. A published author, her first book is titled "International Steampunk Fashions." She is currently writing her second book, "The Fashionable Victorians & Edwardians”; both books published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd.
In 2011, Victoriana Lady Lisa had the privilege of being featured, nationally, on the Science Channels wildly popular reality show, "Oddities," posing as the Merry Widow in her authentic widow weeds.
Victoriana Lady Lisa is a nationally acclaimed professional speaker celebrating her 13th year. She transforms her passion for 19th century Victorian fashions into a romantic and memorable portrayal of life and times during the Gilded Age. She accomplishes this with charm, grace, knowledge, and her disarming beauty. Her authentic antique clothing and artifacts, circa 1840-1919, are a literal traveling museum, and an exciting peek into Grandmother's attic.
History is inescapable. It connects events through time, and encourages us to take a long view of such connections. Understanding the linkages between past and present is absolutely basic for a good understanding of the condition of being human. That, in a nutshell, is why History matters. It is not just 'useful'… it is essential.
