On January 29th, at the Viles Arboretum in Augusta, Maine, Larry Danzinger conducted the 17th Gathering for Changing Maine. This year's topic of discussion was "Beyond Capitalism". Larry of ROSC (Resources for Organizing and Social Change) introduced speakers from throughout the Northeast who covered a range of varied economic systems and their impact on society. Their presentations will show that there are several economic systems beyond capitalism that function very well, to varying degrees in a variety of cultures. They will point out that many economic systems are compatible with each other.
