In the 81st episode of Expedition New England Scott leads you on a journey up the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he takes the first step as a “Water Guardian.” During their several hour canoe ride, Scott and fellow Water Guardian John Gaetano, encounter blue crabs, diamondback terrapins and sadly, a dumping ground for garbage. Finding a pipe that leads directly into the Pequonnock, Scott takes a sample of the water draining from it to bring in for testing (we’ll see the results in a future Water Guardian episode). Later, Scott and his son Race explore Bauer Park finding a beautiful garter snake in the field and unfortunately a forgotten shoe in the pond. Why do we keep finding garbage in our water?
