Episode Description:

On August 26th, Veterans for Peace Sponsored a forum to examine ways to reach peace. Nine speakers addressed a packed house at the First Parish UU Meeting House in Portland, Maine. They were: Maine Congresswoman, Chellie Pingree; California Congressman and Chairman of the House Veteran's Affairs Committee, Bob Filner; Author, Terry Tempest Williams; former Maine Senate Committee Chairman, Michael Brennan; Native American rights activist, gkisedtanamoogk; Mulsim Chaplin at USM, Dawud Ummah; Political Director of Equality Maine, Matt Moonen; and Board Chair of Iraq Veterans Against the War, Geoffrey Millard.

Providing music and drumming were a soloist from 'Voices for Peace' and 'Inanna-Sisters in Rhythm'...both from Maine.

For each speaker, you will hear of a different way to peace. Eight presentations and eight uniquely different paths towards the same goal. Eight different paths, and yet, they all involve love.
