Episode Description:
The Blackstone Valley is known for its remarkable mix of industrial and agricultural landscapes that portray the places where our struggling young Republic began its journey toward becoming an industrial powerhouse. The struggle we face today is how to keep these pieces of the landscape in one piece, how to keep them relevant, how to hold on to the memories that these buildings, these mills, these stone walls encase. So join us as Along the Blackstone’s Episode #64 shows us first-hand the challenges of keeping our historic landscapes intact. The shear scope of some of these preservation projects can be overwhelming. But rather than be overwhelmed, you’ll be inspired by these three similar, yet different stories, of people who made a difference in taking on major preservation projects in their home town – all very dedicated and passionate about protecting their historic landscapes.
