Episode Description:

After a four-year recording career, having their biggest release with the self-penned "Does He Ever Mention My Name," Janis and Rick along with Chip Harding, co-wrote three top ten singles by the Whites; "You Put the Blue In Me," "Hangin' Around" and "Pins And Needles." Janis also had numerous album cuts by Reba McEntire and Eddy Raven, Lacy J. Dalton, Steve Wariner and many others.
Rick and Janis had the title track and first single on ALABAMA's 2000 RCA release, "When It All Goes South."

In 1983, Rick co-wrote Reba McEntire's first number one hit "I Can't
Even Get the Blues No More." Also in the 80’s, Rick had success with album cuts on such artists as Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Lacy J. Dalton, T.G. Sheppard, Pam Tillis and many others including five more Reba McEntire cuts.

They have also co-written (with Steve Wariner) "Longneck Bottle,"
recorded by Garth Brooks and included on both Sevens and Double Live and selling in excess of 38 million copies; co-writing again with Wariner for the title track on the Gold selling album, "Burnin' The Roadhouse Down"; and sticking to tried and true co-writing partner (Steve) for a cut on Wariner's Gold selling 2000 Capital release, "Two Teardrops," entitled "If You Don't Know By Now."

Most recently, Rick and Janis co-wrote the theme song “Irresistible” for the Sony Pictures Classics movie “Saving Face”. “Irresisible” is also featured on Janis’ new Jazz CD “Hoagy and Me” which was released in 2005.
