Chris DuBois began his journey through the music business making tape copies at Polygram Music. In 1992 he joined ASCAP Nashville as Director of Membership. Chris left ASCAP in March of 1999 to form Sea Gayle Music with Brad Paisley and Frank Rogers as his business partners. Since that time Sea Gayle Music has become one of the top independent publishing companies in Nashville. As a songwriter, Chris' credits include the Brad Paisley hits "Who Needs Pictures," "Me Neither," "We Danced," "Wrapped Around," "I Wish You'd Stay," "Little Moments," and "Mud On The Tires." He also wrote "I Love You This Much" for Jimmy Wayne and "19 Somethin'" for Mark Wills. "19 Somethin'" spent seven weeks at number one and was the number one song for 2003 according to Radio and Records.
In its short exsistence, Sea Gayle Music has had 15 number one songs with the writing and leadership of Chris DuBois.
