“We’ve got ANTS!” How many times does someone come home from work to discover an exodus of ants but not call the exterminator? Well, as you can imagine, Scott Tucker and the Expedition New England team: Ava, Race and Daphne Tucker with special guests Adele, Allegra and Carmello Rosa are just the kind of people that drop everything, grab the camera and film the whole thing. Also, our good friend Peter Taylor and his family discover a nest of ants in a wood pile at their house. And thanks to special help from Gayle Ridge of the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven’s “Insect Inquiry” department they all came to understand that Carpenter Ants are actually less of a pest and more of a messenger. Finally, as an additional bonus the Expedition New England Team “in the middle of the ant exodus” discovers a most magnificent insect called the Rough necked root borer wandering around the backyard and you’ll be shocked to learn what she was up to
