Welcome to a special presentation. It's a part of our self-empowerment series. This particular program deals with the hundreds of millions of Americans who suffer from some form of addictive behavior. Whether it's the 131 million overweight Americans, or the more than 100 million Americans who've smoked, or over 250 million Americans who seem to be addicted to sugar, throw in all the people who gamble, the people who drink, the people who take coffee, drugs, and who are workaholics. And you start to realize that many people suffer from many different of these conditions.

Our program is called the 13th Step. Why? It is not to suggest that the 12 steps have not benefited people - clearly they have, but how many times have we had someone say ''I no longer drink'', but they drink coffee, or they eat sugar, or they smoke? An absence of a particular behavior does not mean that a person is happy and healthy. A program that is supposed to help people recover should also help that spiritual recovery.
