Jesse Eisenbise & COLEBROOK ROAD - Blue Grass Band - Visiting the GREAT NORTHWEST

As individuals, we may not know the influence that we might have in another person's life. For Jesse Eisenbise, guitarist of Colebrook Road, he remembers when his life took a different path. During a performance of the Colebrook Road blue grass band he indicated that the spring of 2019 marked the tenth year together as a band and a return to the state of Oregon where Jesse's life made a turn down a different path.

During the summer of 2003, Jesse was a Summer Service Volunteer from Bridgewater College for the Church of the Brethren Camp Myrtlewood in Bridge, Oregon. During that time, Jesse's path crossed with that of Doug Eller, member of Portland's Peace Church of the Brethren. Both had interests in music. Doug enjoys playing the guitar and banjo. Jesse had similar interests. As a kid, Jesse remembers watching Doug play his guitar at Annual Conference. As an adult of age 22, Jesse's path in life was forever changed when they, together, played the song, ''Will The Circle Be Unbroken.''

''Brethren Voices,'' Host, Brent Carlson meets with Jesse Eisenbise, to learn the history of the blue grass band, Colebrook Road. The program, ''Visiting the GREAT NORTHWEST,'' features the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge and songs from their latest album, ''On Time.''

For the band, there have been some changes over the years, but during the past five years, it has been Jesse Eisenbise, Wade Yankey, Jeff Campbell, Joe McAnulty and Mark Rast. The other thing that has stayed constant is the ongoing battle to balance the hectic daily life of family, friends, work, and the passion for pursuing this style of music. Their newest song, “On Time,” is about that very thing, which is why they decided to name the album after it.

''Pursuing a dream is always challenging, especially when it involves, creating art, but in the end, they wouldn’t want it any other way.'' - - Jesse, Wade, Jeff, Joe, and Mark
