Episode Description:

July, 2019. seventh grade students from Madison, Bingham and Carrabec are cultivating three types of garden. 1. Raised bed 2. Standard 3. Aquaponic. There are three sites: in Madison. The Old Point School building, the High School and the Jr. High. A Jr. High teacher and an ed. tech. are teaching gardening skills to seventh graders and hoping next year to expand it to include the eighth grade and beyond. The food produced is donated to the local food pantry. Their skill at aquaponics (fish feeding plants and plants cleaning the water for fish.) is remarkable. It is good to see schools teaching real-life skills again.
