On April 23, a grass roots movement, Maine Youth for Climate Justice organized youth from Middle School age to College age to meet at Maine’s Capitol and stress the importance of reversing climate change and supporting the New Green Deal. Many students, Representative Chellie Pingree and Governor Mills had much to say. Students connected climate change with other social injustices. Two students spoke about how climate change has already had a negative effect on their lives.
