Episode Description:

Father Roy Bourgeois spoke to an audience at the University of Southern Maine, Portland on September 9th. He outlined how his life with the School of the Americas Watch started and how he was driven to God by the Vietnam War. Father Roy, a Maryknoll Priest and purple heart recipient, describes how the School of the Americas (now WHINSEC) in Fort Benning, Georgia trains the Latin American military to torture and suppress their own people. He also speaks about the injustice within his own Catholic Church. Following Father Roy's presentation, I make a few comments about blind obedience and militarism. The truth must be told; no matter how much that truth hurts.
