On April 30, Pax Christi, Maine held their annual retreat at the H.O.M.E. Center in Orland, Maine. The theme this year featured the teachings of Father John Dear a former Jesuit priest (currently of another order) and social activist who has been arrested over 75 times for peacefully demonstrating for peace and justice. Mary Ellen Quinn, Pax Christi co-coordinator showed clips of Father Dear’s address to a group at the University of California, Davis. Pax Christi members and guests then discussed the peaceful life, as related to them, personally.
