Episode Description:

As our global appetites grow and our technologies become more powerful, we need to continuously re-evaluate the way we harvest our oceans to ensure that the critters and their habitats remain healthy for future generations.

In this episode, we’ll see one of the icons of the Northwest, salmon, portrayed as food prepared by chefs from all over the country. We’ll also see another local icon, Art Wolfe, and some of his Puget Sound imagery. We will see marine scientists setting off on an expedition. We’ll float up from the black depths to visit some strange creatures living in the green waters nearer the surface of our West Coast oceans. And finally, after all that cold water, we’ll warm up in some tropical water with a little fishy togetherness.
