Episode Description:

Pat Manley. Washington Maine, and several other volunteers from Maine relate their experiences in Guatemala. For ten years, stone mason, Patrick Manley has led diverse groups of volunteers to build masonry cook stoves for the indigenous Mayan people. You will hear first hand accounts about how the stoves are built and the good that they do. The Mayan cook their meals on open fires on dirt floors. These people suffer lung disease, blindness and severe burns as a result. You will see actual photos the volunteers took on their mission. The masons pay their own way to Guatemala and all funds collected are used solely for stove materials.
