Episode Description:

On March 14th, a dozen activists gathered at the home of Maine Social Justice producer, Pete Sirois to hear Rob Mealey of the SEIU speak about labor conditions and health care. Rob Mealey, a proponent of the Employee Free Choice Act presented a good descrition of just what EFCA will do, if enacted.
The group of mostlly health care workers and advocates for mental health and the poor then proposed ideas of what a comprehensive health care plan might look like. They concluded that a single payer plan would help them to best deliver the care to a vast majority of Americans.
