On August 8th, Margy and Jack Flynn of Bingham, Maine visited me at my home in Madison to explain the full meaning of the Constitution. They have been studying the Constitution for over fifty years. You might say that they are a prominent authority on the American Constitution. According to the Flynns, all our freedom is derived through the Constitution, yet very few Americans are even vaguely familiar with it. Hardly anyone in government positions who takes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution could even name half of the ten amendments which make up our Bill of Rights. Nearly all of our elected officials don't even try to adhere to the Constitutional priciples set forth by the document. In fact, many elected officials act to strip us of our Constitutional rights. Watch this and you will gain a lot of respect for our Constitution.
