Episode Description:

In this episode of Expedition New England Scott Tucker leads a group from Connecticut Audubon Society Eco Travel of Essex, CT to encounter local snakes. Within one hour Scott catches four different species of snake including the Northern Water, Northern Ringneck, Eastern Black Rat and the Eastern Hognose. To top off the adventure Scott also leads the group to an Eastern Box Turtle and Marbled Salamander encounter. Then Scott and his son, Race Tucker, transform a Memorial day visit to the Guilford VFW into a Snapping Turtle encounter that captures the awesome power of this gigantic reptile. To top it all off Scott flashes you back to March 2012 and his trip to the Galapagos Islands where Marine Iguanas, evidence of Green Sea Turtle nesting and the skeletal remains of a whale lead us into a fantastic discussion on evolution that points to Homo sapiens as the leading cause of mass extinction number six.
