Episode Description:

On October 20th, students, Colby grads, staff and Occupy Augusta gathered at the side of the Diamond Building at Colby College in Waterville. Over two dozen stood out in the rain to request that Colby's Board of Trustees at least consider the input from Colby students, staff and the community at large. Even though Bob Diamond, a 1973 Colby graduate, financed the Diamond Building on campus, the crowd reflected a majority opinion that donating a building does not give a free pass to someone who engaged in questionable, if not illegal business practices while working for Barclay's of London. While head of that financial institution, Bob Diamond was said to have laundered money, got kick-backs, evaded taxes and was involved in interest rate rigging. Barclay's got rid of him, and rather quickly. You will hear many cite their reasons for Colby's Board of Trustees to seek Bob Diamond's resignation.
