Episode Description:

In this episode, Mark (www.marklawsf.com) and Jim talk about the Toga Party , where teachers throw $9.4 million dollar “Roman Holiday” to celebrate collective bargaining for public employees.
During Constitutional Corner, sexual discrimination by Wal-Mart is discussed and the Supreme Court review of the Ninth Circuit decision that upheld certification of $1.6 million employees as a nationwide class.
Lastly they cover the Ecuadorian’s court order that Chevron must pay $8.6 billion for contaminating the rain forest. Chevron vows to appeal, claiming that collusion between the government and plaintiffs was made as fair a ruling impossible. The International Court of the Hague grants Chevron a preliminary injunction to block enforcement and the plaintiffs get financial backing from London based hedge fund.
