Episode Description:

Some of Reeve’s many creative talents include writing poetry, novels, essays as well as translating other works. He is the recipient of the Golden Rose Award from the New England Poetry Club, an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and a D. Lit from New England College.

His book Robert Frost in Russia recounts Frost’s 1962 trip to Russia. Newsweek states “Even as the Russians rejected Frost’s politics, they admired his tenacity and quick-witted arguments. They respected him for believing what they neither could nor would…admirers of Frost will find it enthralling.”

Reeve brought his latest book Nathaniel Purple, which was released a few weeks ago. “It is Reeve’s love poem to the state of Vermont, which forms a rich, vivid canvas for is intimate portrayal of village life.” While injecting his own experiences of living in a small colloquial village in Vermont, he spins a stunning story about the town librarian Nathaniel Purple, “who is the link to the world of books and rational thinking. He is also an everyman, a native Vermonter, able to embrace the town’s practical justice. And he has a few secrets of his own.”
